Business Plans for Immigration: Key Components and Strategies Part 3
All Business Plans Are Not Created Equal
A business plan which is intended to be used as part of an immigration application is different from a regular business plan in several important ways. It requires a knowledgeable emphasis on areas important for an immigration application, while at the same time being careful not to create the impression that the applicant is just “ticking the boxes” to qualify for a given immigration program. This leads to sometimes subtle variations between immigration business plans that target different immigration programs. For example, a business plan for an EB-5 application will look different from a business plan for an ICT application. Understanding the importance of preparing a properly nuanced business plan can strongly impact the chance of a successful application.
In summary, writing a business plan is not a one-size fits all exercise. Knowing which business plan elements to emphasize for which immigration program requires skill and experience that comes with years of writing business plans for this purpose. Additional information about immigration business plans can be found in this 5-part blog post series entitled Testing the Credibility of a Business Plan.
